Concert June 14 will help defray medical expenses
Singer-songwriter Jason Feddy is a musician who always takes the call and always shows up to help others in Laguna Beach. A regular at the Marine Room, Festival of the Arts, and concerts at Main Beach, among others, he was also one of the musicians featured on “Shelter Me” a benefit CD for Friendship Shelter last year.
Now Jason is in need and the community is ready to give back at a benefit at the Marine Room Monday night June 14 at 7:30 p.m.
The concert has been organized by Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, a national non-profit that provides financial assistant to career musicians in need. Performers will include Doug Miller, David Carpenter, Evan Stone, Bob Hawkins and Phil Parlapiano, among others, as well as a performance of “Songs by Shakespeare” by Feddy himself with John Gardner.
Earlier this year, Feddy suffered a seizure and because he has no health insurance has found himself struggling to pay medical bills. The suggested donation at the door is $40 – make checks payable to Sweet Relief/Jason Feddy Benefit.
